Hwange in the Green season

We kicked our trip off with a once-in-a-lifetime experience of swimming at “devils Pool” at the edge of the Victoria falls and a delicious brunch on Livingston Island. This is a must!

We then set off for our 2 week trip, to Zimbabwe’s Hwange national Park.

December & January fall in the summer green season, which brings with it a very different experience to the dry months in Hwange. We spent our days out exploring the vast areas of the Wilderness Safaris private concession, and believe me everyday was a surprise. I had a moment sitting quietly on an open plan on morning where I genuinely felt like I was observing a seen from Noah’s Ark. There was just an abundance of so may species in one place – mind blowing!

We also had our last sighting of Cecil the Lion during this trip, and Brad got to capture some true ‘Trophy Shots‘ of him which we will forever be his legacy for us.
